National Aeronautics and Space Administration, An Obama Political Tooil

I remember when NASA, National Aeronautics and Space Administration was about doing cool stuff which fired the imagination.

Ya know, like figuring how to put satellites in orbit around the Earth. Sending men into space so  to eventually land a man on the Moon.  Sending probes to land on Mars, pass collect information from other planets and eventually leave the solar system altogether.

I would say such things are worthy projects, not only in their accomplishments but do inspire and instill pride.

That was the good old days. As of  Feb.2 2020 they took on new missions, nothing to do with Space exploration,

"One, he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math; he wanted me to expand our international relationships; and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math and engineering."

This is hilarious. I mean really, who knew the Muslim world was suffering a self-esteem problem? Even more crazy is the thought an intervention by  NASA would really do much to alleviate this perceived malaise.

Another Taxpayer Paid Michelle Vacation

Another vacation for Michelle Obama on the tax payers dime. Not just for her, but her two kids and Mom to boot.

I have no idea how much this is going to cost us as such expenses are some government secret.

OK, we all know such vacations by the First Lady are not cheap. The one question I would like an answer to is just what we taxpayers get in return.

WH: 'Real Treat' for Michelle Obama to Take Her Mom and Daughters to China

China," a White House official said on Monday. And she considers it a "real treat" to take her daughters and her mother with her -- a trip she's making at considerable expense to taxpayers, although the White House refused to give a dollar figure.

"You know, the first lady has talked about the importance of young people here in the United States learning about other cultures. She believes that about her own children, and has seen this as a really unique opportunity to share a very different part of the world with her two daughters and with her mother as well," Mrs. Obama's Chief of Staff Tina Tchen told a conference call on Monday.

"I think, as she said before, before they came here to the White House, Mrs. Robinson had not done any travel internationally, so the opportunities when she's been able to do that have been a real treat, I think, for Mrs. Robinson, for the first lady, for her daughters as well to travel together and to see these places and experience them together."
